I too have a SCSI HD in the expansion bay of my 6400. Its a 1 G drive I removed
from a 7500 and never reformatted it, just added things as I needed them (like
the sonnet crescendo extension). The original ATA drive died before I got the
6400 so I put in a new Maxtor 13 G ATA drive (I use for the main drive w/ 4
partitions) and later added the 1 G SCSI to use for a second start up drive.
Externally I have a Yamaha 6416 CD-RW plugged into a Zip which is plugged into
the 6400's external SCSI.
Anyway, I have never had any problems with this setup, seems SCSI voodoo has
stayed away.... ;-)
So as someone so eloquently stated earlier in the week, we all have different
experiences with our computers, we can therefor only talk about our experiences.
Some of us just have more experiences than others.
