I upgraded my Centris 650 to OS 7.6, getting ready to use it as the server

Actually it is 24 or 32 bit addressing: of course the options are to turn 32 bit
addressing on or off, and there was no way for you to know that.
Anyhow, go to [http://emulation.net/macintosh/] and get vmac, you can emulate a
macintosh plus perfectly with sound, no glitches, etc.  You can run at original
speed (for games) or as fast as your machine will go (great for old versions of
pagemaker, excel, stuff like that)
