Hi Chris,

Seagate's ST15150N 1/2 height 4.3 GB Barracudas require something in the
order of 2.5 Amperes. At 5 volts (read/write head/stepper motor/data
transfer) X 2.5 = 12.5 Watts. At 12 volts (platter motor/clutch assembly) X
2.5 = 30 Watts. Add the two together and you get 42.5 Watts. Can't say how
much its motherboard underneath consumes but I guess 50 Watts per drive is
reasonable.
