I think you are confused as to your drive parameters. I believe you mean 
that your 7300 has a 3.5" series type drive

  The  mechanical  dimensions for a form  factor  3.5'"   hard drive is 
as follows

width                4"
length              5.25"
height:

         1/3h             1.0"
         1/2 h            1.6 "

A  full height   drive is    3.25" high  but it will not fit in your 
7300.
The upper bay (stock)  maximum allowable drive height is  1/3h   (1.0) "
the lower bay  maximum allowable drive height is  1/2h (1.6")
