No, because in the 72-7600 (or at least in my 7300) you still have that
partition between the top and bottom bays. You might be able to get away with
cutting out this partition and putting the half-height in the bottom, but
this runs the risk of making the case unstable (not to mention the fact this
is difficult to repair should you want two drives in the future). Other
than that, my only other recommendation is to put the half-height in the
top and run the machine with the case off.

Neither of these are great solutions. Get a smaller-dimension drive when you
can.
