BACKWARDS???????

     PC / Apple Tech

Uhhhhhh...... excuse me????

I also WAS a PC tech until I 'saw the light.' It all started with
finding out the little things like 'Who had the first mouse?' and
'Who had "windows" first?' etc. Then I sought out to explore the Apple
world.

My best friend is a die hard PC Tech and we have these discussions all
the time..... he loses. You would be surprised how
many of us here own or have owned/worked on (of course!) PC's and would
buy nothing but Macs now. Our biggest
problem in this PC world is the software domination by Mr. Bill. Other
than that, I'll bet the ratio would be closer to
50/50....

And also wrote......

"I distictly remember a cultist years ago telling me, in fact- "Macs
NEVER
freeze, Macs never crash" OH woooohooo ROFLMAO ! Puuu-Leeeeeze !
Let's
all be real, both OS's have thier strengths & weaknesses. I believe a
big
factor many miss is that Apple made some bad business decisions and
still
does which negatively effected the product. I dig Apple and am
comtemplating a new IceBook (see if I can work to pay for it ;) But, if

given the choice, to run everyday I would have to go MS, truth hurts.
More
economical, more reliable, more options. And frequent crashing with MS
?
Over exaggerated, mostly due to poorly configured machines and
networks. My
Win98 has run 24/7 (except restart mem refresh) for over 3 years and
can
run every app on the machine open including games and not crash.
Nothing
fancy, amd400 / 128, 100bus, 1mb cache, AT oldie, Test monkey is a
5500/225
with 32mb. It's all in the plumbing folks ! "

The only reason your Mac OS will crash is from your lack of knowledge in
the area. Every time one of my dozen or so
running PowerMacs crash, I know what I did to it to cause it to.
Otherwise it is a bug in a new program I'm testing.

BTW.... stack your amd400 against a 400 MHz Mac and tell me about
it....

I will not waste any more time on this inane subject....

Tim

BTW..... you must have written this on your PC..... my spell check
would have picked up 'obviosly', 'explemplifiying', 'distictly',
'thier', and 'comtemplating'......
