I have a Performa 6400 with maxed RAM and Sonnet L2 G3 card, and comm II
ethernet card, using the two PCI for video card and USB card. I find it runs
fine (machine has been on for about 24 hours - processor temp in Metronome -
don't know how accurate that is - is saying 47 deg C.)
If you doing video then the combined USB and firewire card may be your best
bet - I don't do video work on mine - but seems to work good for everything
I do!
