This is how I connect to the net....
My 400 mHz Pentium II has a DSL modem that connects to Bellsouth here in
Miami. This computer is running Windows 2000 Professional and we have
internet connection sharing enabled. This Mac obtains an IP address from it
when I turn it on and I connect through my home network. I know that this
has very little to do with the actual information that you are seeking, but
it does answer the question you pose in the Subject line.
