I have an XLR8 single processor carrier and in looking at the dual unit (which I
thought about getting but $$ stopped me) it seems the carrier is similar (but
most likely has different circuitry) and therefor works with a dual, but I don't
know if it will work with a single processor....
As to buying a processor try OWC
