Check out the Sonnet site: http://www.sonnettech.com/product/tempo.html It
tells you all about the card and there's a nice picture of it. I've used
IDE drives in my PC's for forever! and have a couple extra sitting around
collecting dust. Buying the IDE controller will save me a ton of money and
allow me to use a 10 gig and 4 gig hard drive and I'm pretty certain I can
even use this card to control a CD......though I'm not too certain about if
it would work with a DVD (probably not!)
This card will allow you to control 4 drives. My experience with my PC's
tells me that you can run 2 hard drives on one channel and a CD or two on
the other.
I already am using a Sonnet G3 upgrade card and am very pleased with it. In
my humble opinion, this is an excellent product.
