well in the range of pricing most people could afford, leica make a good lens
and the cameras aren't bad either

Every manufacture has its dogs, and boy was that one! Canon made the ever
popular AE-1 and now most are having brake problems with the shutter so they
'squeal'. And Olympus made the OM PC (we called the Piece of Crap) as the first
one I ever took out of a box from died the first time I tripped the shutter, and
most of the rest were not any better....
Leica most likely had a dog too, but they are out of my $ range......
The best suggestion I give someone buying a camera is to get something that fits
your hand well. Otherwise you just won't use it.... My had is to big for most
Olympus 35 mm cameras and the Pentax ME supper is to small, but the big old
Nikon F2 is great (in my hand).
