I was talking to my spouse this morning about an eventual upgrade to one of
the used G3 beige boxes that look similar to a 7500.....you know the one.
It's on sale at http://www.powermax.com/ in the Under $500 area.
She said, with all the money that I've spent on other used Macs, it just
didn't make much sense to buy another used, outdated computer and we agreed
that we would treat me to a new G4 in December for Chanukah/Christmas.
I am so excited!
I tend to think that I have this list to thank for all this. Also the
Quadlist, but I don't subscribe to that anymore.
I do have to say, I find this list very interesting and will continue to
follow and contribute.
I also think I'll continue to use this upgraded PPC 7200. It is a nice
machine and I have come to love it. The question is: what do I do with my
old AMD 900 mHz? It's running Windows 2000 Server now and provides print
services for this Mac cause it doesn't have any USB ports. It also provides
file services for this Mac which only has 2.5 gig of hard drive space.
Only time will tell. I just wanted to share this with you.
