I know the RATOC card has separate power connector to provide power to the
FireWire bus. Apparently PCI slots, or at least some of them, can't provide
as much power as some FireWire devices might want. If you plan on running
(m)any bus-powered FireWire devices, you might want to consider the RATOC
card (I don't believe the other cards have that feature).
