I'm wondering, everybody that's got PPC Macs laying around, not doing a
whole lot... Wanna look for ET? :-)

I'm a member over at AnandTech BBS, a mostly-PC oriented website. But, for a
little while, we are in a SETI "race" with the DSL Reports SETI team, to see
who can be the first up to 100,000 WUs. We really, really need anybody who's
interested in joining.

This is the page with all the praticulars about how to join
http://hobbitt.worldkey.net/~seti/

This is the AnandTech Distributed Computing forum
http://forums.anandtech.com/categories.cfm?catid=39

I'm willing to help anyone who's interested in setting up the S@H client on
their Mac, or their PC for that matter. No Mac is too slow, as long as it's
PowerPC of some sort. This will run nicely in the background, you won't even
notice that it's there. As a matter of fact, it's running on the machine I'm
typing this on as we speak.

Would someone also pass this onto the other lists that have PowerMacs on
them? PowerBooks prolly wouldn't be a good idea because this would wear the
battery down, since the proc wouldn't sleep. I'm only a member of these
PowerMacs lists.

We really, really need any help we can get. DSLR is ahead by almost 10k
units!!! Like I said, no Mac is too slow. I just put some 486s online today.
:-)
