Apple Drive Setup doesn't give me the extended format on this particular drive. Only 68K. I did a full diagnostics on the drive last night and it had zilch problems. However right now I am testing my serial port. It maybe the culprit as I was about to use it when the crash occurred. I never though it could the serial port ... ACK! I think I just narrowed down my problem. I tested the printer port thoroughly: starting up from the TTP 3 CD, starting from the HD and starting with extensions off. In every case the printer port failed!!! ACK! UGH! and EEK! patratto wrote: > > RosaKiana Rossi wrote: > > > > I have an 8500/180/208 RAM/OS 8.6/FireWireDirect FireWire/USB PCI Card. > > Last month, in August, my 4.5 Narrow HD died [or so I thought ... still > > not so sure] then I bought an Ultra 9.1 GB Seagate Barracuda.
