Pat, I also have an Epson Stylus 800 printer. Same thing happened to mine a
few months ago, and I tried all the usual stuff to no avail. How old are the
current ink cartridges? I finally put in new cartridges, and voila! --
apparently the ink degrades after some time. They don't indicate the shelf
life anywhere, but there is one. Good luck....
