Hello

May I offer a suggestion based on my own experience.
WHAT ABOUT BACKING UP ALL YOUR DATA ?

As I see it, you are planning to place all your applications and files
on partitions on a single hard drive .
Bad news!.
What happens if this drive " fails"? You have lost all your new and
updated personal files and for about $1200 ( one thousand two
hundred $) some system guy will be glad to recover them for you.
I would strongly suggest that you keep one of your external drives
always active and bootable and use it to backup all personal stuff in
real time , and backup any and all applications and files that you can
not download either from the web or from CDs

a word to the wise is sufficient
