hi all,
Got a mac.com question. Rescue me.
I have a total of three email accounts. One account with a local ISP and 2
accounts at Mac.com. One mac.com continues to work, one doesn't. The one
that doesn't has 87 messages on it I would like to get! The scenerio is: I
hit the ol' "send and recieve" and my local ISP mail account downloads, my
first mac.com account downloads but the second mac.com account sez that my
password goes through and then first message is retrieved (a 4 kb sized
message, nothin' huge) then it sez the first message is retrieved (got those
4 Kb transferred over) and THEN it hangs. Nothing. Nada. Just sits. After a
coupla minutes I get a lovely error splash screen saying "An operation on
the server timed out. The server may be down, overloaded, or there may be
too much net traffic". UGH.
I am using a ppc 7300, 200 MB RAM, OS 9.1, Outloook Express 5.0. Open
transport/TCP/IP version: 2.7.4
I have tried downloading from other configurations (different mac model,
different OS, different phone line, different city, different Outlook
Express version). No good.
Anyone have any suggestions?
thanks millions
raino
