No, that's one thing I haven't tried. If the processor  or  card is bad
I guess it will still have to be sent back whole unless they can be
persuaded to send a replacement part. But I will check to see.

BTW. There are different processors on each card. The one that works
has,  according to documentation, an "Apple" processor on it. The one
that doesn't work has a Newer Tech processor with different settings and
an additional dip switch on the processor itself.
