Red X? That means it is DISABLED...or not working correctly. BTW some sys 
extensions cant actually be see from the FInder a good example of that is 
RAM Doubler INIT and some Norton extensions...also, if you could describe 
the icon a bit betteer i may be able to tell you what it is, there are a 
LOT of extensions with 'a little computer on them'
