I know there was a thread on this recently, but since I didn't have the problem, or the equipment, I didn't save it and don't remember advice given. I just got a USB printer. I have a keyspan USB card in my 9600 which is working perfectly with my Wacom Tablet. I installed the printer software (HP 940). The apple system profiler shows my USB card (2 ports) with both the Wacom Tablet and the HP 940 connected. The chooser (and the HP driver) only show my old printers, one of which was an HP 870 connected via appletalk with an Apple Personal Laserwriter NT. I disconnected the 870 and the HP driver in the chooser doesn't show any HP printer now. I think one of the suggestions given was to download a USB driver from Apple, but the only ones I find on Apple's site are for OSX (I'm running 8.6). Any other suggestions on how to connect or sites to get correct driver? Since USB card has been supported for tablet, I don't really see the need for another driver for the card, the Keyspan driver is apparently working fine. Is there a driver specifically for USB printers? Need this info quickly, as it was bought for me by the guy I work for. Someone in the office ordered two (one for his office) and is waiting to see how I like output on this. If I don't get it working or don't like it, he will return his unopened one and take this one. And since I had to get cable for it, he's bothering me about whether I've tested it yet. Thanks.
