 open up your Extensions Folder in the System Folder. There should be
several USB extensions there specifically for your HP printer(I have six
listed for my Epson USB printer under Epson)
If they are not there, you did not install the HP printer software correctly

Check the HP disk that came with the printer and verify that you selected
the mac install and not the PC install icon

It seems to me that if your keyspan is driving other USB devices ,  the USB
driver is not the "problem"
