Hmm, are you sure it's really too short? Mine is long enough that at full
length the weird black thing on the end is hanging out the front. Have you
tried (very gently) tugging on it to make sure it's as far out as it will
go? If it seems to be, then it may be stuck on something. I recently bought
a SCSI CD-R to put in that spot (anybody know if there's a bezel for that?)
and don't anticipage any problems.
