I have successfully used PageMaker on a Mac since Aldus owned it. You could
get by with a couple of other packages, but for my money PageMaker 6/6.5 is
the stuff. With a copy of Freehand (v8 is about $50 now from megamacs.com)
and either Graphics Converter or Photoshop, you can do any type of print
work necessary.

Look for an older version of Adobe PageMaker (v5 or 6) and then upgrade it
to version 6.5. Several Mac software dealers online may have copies of this
program. Quark Xpress is overkill for the normal person doing a newsletter.
The cool thing about it is that it comes bundled with Acrobat Distiller, so
you can make a PDF to give to your printer. Most printers are migrating to
PDFs for bread and butter work like newsletters.

Good Luck!
Robert
