My experience on a IIvi upgraded to PPC601 was having the fan die within the
power supply. Pulled the power supply, bought a generic fan from a PC shop
and fitted it in place with double-sided tape and wire. Worst bit was
dismantling and fitting together the Chinese box puzzle case around the
power supply to get at and replace fan. Stilll running.
