Funny, I got into Macs the same way, sort of. I was an avid Mac (and Mac
User) hater until I accidently volunteered to admin a Mac lab at my senior
year in HS (wasn't paying attenting), but the darn things won me over :)
Even though they were 5300/100 LCs.

Right now I'm using my best Mac, a 6500/225, as mostly an in-bed word
processor. I have it on a table at the end of my bed, and use it in bed like
some people read books :) I use it for typing up stuff (and I fancy myself a
writer... not quite there), as well as a few games. It has an internet
connection, but I haven't used it in months. Ironically, I play a few old
DOS and Win31 games on VPC on it, because the games don't run anymore on my
main PC (Win98/Win2k 1ghz Athlon) without lots of tweaking and config-file
editing if they'd even run after that. Aside from a minor HD upgrade (3 gigs
to 4 gigs) and memory (32-128 megs) it's still stock.

I also have a Starmax 4000 that I suspect will be faster than the 6500, but
I'm having trouble getting it running. Memory problems.

Right now I'm lusting after OS X, as well as a faster Mac in general, so I'm
seriously contemplating selling them both and putting the proceeds towards a
rev.2 B&W G3...

So, who knows. It's all up in the air :)
