890 is not an 11 x 17 printer but it is a photo printer. Don't know about canon s800
I would suggest the Epson Photo EX, 1200, 1270 or 1280. EX and 1200 have serial ports, 1270 and 1280 would need usb ports. 1280 is only current model, the rest you would have to get refurbished or off auction or ebay. Epson does sell refurbished at their site but I don't know what is available there right now, you would have to check. For high dollar you can get Espon Photo 2000. If you want 11x17 you can also get Epson 1520 or 3000. Both are available new or refurbished or on auction sites. The will both use serial ports HP also has a model but I don't remember the model number.
