Now that I have an 8500 running, how do I use the AV capabilities?

Is there special software that needs to be purchased?

Also, some time ago I saw a procedure to put the video in as the desktop
picture, so you have a live action desktop, anyone remember how to do that?
That sounded cool. Maybe I will have to pick up some junk camcorders with
back tape mech and good video and place them in baby's room for remote
monitoring! Or outside for front door security!

The video ram has all slots full, so I am guessing 2 or 4 MB video ram. And
there is only 24 MB system ram. I might switch the 8500 in to main service
and take the 9500's 96MB and drop in the 8500... Being I am not using the
full power of the dual PCI controlled 6 PCI slots of the 9500, the 8500
should do me fine. (Drop in the 150 MHz card from the 9500 as well)

Cash is short so buying a G3 is out of the question at the moment. But it
is something I will do soon. Probably ram first, get it all interleaved.
How much ram should I get if I plan to do video capture? How large of HD's
are needed?

Thanks!
