We're using a TurboMouse ver. 4.0 (cira 1992) which we transferred over from our old LC III a couple years ago for our PPC 7500. This is the model with two buttons. Haven't had problems with contacts (on the buttons) but have to clean the rollers inside frequently with two cats. In order to get to the rollers the base has to be disassembled. The sticker underneath has to be pulled back to expose two of the four screws. Then the rollers are attacked with swabs of alcohol (and tweezers to pull out cat hair). This is a good time to clean the ball too. Have been looking at trackpads as they're impervious to cat hair. Hope this helps. Terry
