If you really want to use Win98, you can try 98Lite from www.98lite.net .
What it does is remove IE's integration and sticks Win95's explorer in,
which allows you to have Win98's bugfixes and stability enhancements (not to
mention drivers and the like), but have the speed and snappiness of Win95.
Even the free trial works wonders on resource-limited or embedded apps (and
I consider most all emulators to be "resource limited" right now). I've been
using 98lite on VPC 3 myself on a 6500/225 with it being quite usable. I'm
still dreaming of a G3 upgrade, but they're still a little more than I'm
willing to pay. I'm seriously thinking of selling both it and my Starmax and
putting the money towards a B&W G3. Between the two I bet I could get
enough. Anyway, enough rambling :)
