Hello

Funny how things come around ain't it. My first ever Mac was a 7500/100
that I built up big time but eventually sold to buy a B&W G3. The G3 is
now gone and I hae had a bad fall regarding eBay and a G4 and I'm
basically stuck in a hole. It is now then that I decide that the trusty
7x00 series PCI Power Mac might get me out of said hole. This time
though I have the benefit of knowledge, experience and a known good
supplier. I have decided that my collection of venerable Mac hardware,
currently 5 various 68ks and an iBook, needs a PowerMac at it's heart to
make it great again. It was originally going to be the aforementioned G4
but all that came unstuck and probably won't happen until I get a job
and earn some proper money. In the mean time it is back to this list and
the computers that started my torrid Mac adventure.

OK enough bullcrap. I am looking at either a 7300/200 or a 7600/200 and
want to know the various merits/caveats of these machines. I've done the
usual obligatory research and can't get more than a cigarette paper
between them - any ideas?
Oh and I'm deliberately getting a 604e powered machine to avoid buying a
G3 upgrade. They are too expensive and I had a bad ride with the one in
my old 7500.
At the mo it looks like I'll run 8.1 or 9.1 on it as they are the only
installer CDs I have. I'll try to chase down 8.6 though if either is not
up to spec.
