Not being on the list I didn't get in on that one ;).

I don't need AV. I proudly own a Quadra 840av. IMHO the finest AV
platform ever made (for it's time). It still shoot holes in many modern
systems, certainly for sound processing. I am going to play with the
video over Easter recess. It also doubles as my, rather large, alarm
clock :). I'd buy an 8500 to go with it but I HATE the case. I'm sure,
from what I gathered last time I was on this list, everyone else does
too!

But AFAIK 7300s are much more common so finding a PSU shouldn't be *too*
difficult right?

Can only be good.

Well, I don't want to upgrade it *yet* as I don't have the funds. I will
eventually G3 it when money allows it. It's a pretty big jump though and
it'll never be as fast as, say, as B&W. Is the 7300/200 a 50MHz bus
machine?

Yeh, that was the conclusion I came to. I also have a 40GB ATA drive
slung on my Quadra via an ACARD Bridge which, although cool is a bit
wasted, even if it is nice for AV work. Hell I can always buy a 4GB
SCSI drive to replace it. That pretty much eliminates the whole hard
disk space problem, it boots my Quadra fine and is just a tad quieter
than the stock 540LPS. OS X app. cross-compatibility is a great bonus as
I use an iBook with OS X. I may even go nutz and try G3ing it, adding a
Rage 128 and installing OS X on it in the future.
