Some sellers add the caveat "for evaluation purposes only," meaning buyer
must by new licences.  In the seller's mind, you bought hardware only, and
any software loaded for evaluation was a courtesy in and of itself, or a
disguised, common and cheesy marketing ploy designed to appeal to the fact
that most consumers think they shouldn't have to pay for software.
