I'll ask the obvious, do you have a RAM disk allocated? Have you turned off the startup memory check? Finally, have you added any memory lately, and if so how much? One thing to do is to open the Memory control panel and confirm the disk cache is set for default which will show how much memory it is allocated. It should be less than 4MB. There is a neat utility called Memory Mapper you can run to see where it is allocated. The 'System Heap' is the actual system program, while the 'Hi memory' is disk cache and any reserved areas.
