I have had a number of floppies (some new) become unreadable and also failed reformatting? Some I have written on and now they are unreadable. What is going on here, why do floppies fail?
The main reason I ask is that some of my Macs require floppies for emergency boot, and it would be terrible to have an unreadable disk just when you need it the most.
