I opened up my external USB Sony Spressa CD-R/RW Drive case after much
difficulty getting it to work reliably with USB. Inside , I found that
it contains a Sony CRX120E ATA Drive.

My question is . Can I replace the CD drive in My Gossimer G3 rev. A
with this unit and get it to burn reliably and which driver would I
need to get it to work ?

Also is it possible to put an ATA hard drive in the case instead of the
CDRW and use it as an ext. USB HD . Would the Gossimer recognize the
drive and work with it reliably as a second HD since the Rev. A's do not
support two ATA HD's ? Has anyone tried this ?
