Seeing as he says he has *got* satellite I think he might know all that
already :).

I presume it connects using the standard windows dial-up networking
software rather than a piece of proprietary software right? If so you
can use internet connection sharing in Windows. If you are only using
Windows 98 Internet connection sharing is pretty ropy and tends to crash
a bit, but it does work sometimes.
I can divulge more once you establish if you are using a standard
dial-up system or not. If you use a proprietary software package to
control the satellite modem it will not be easy.
