I've just recently dusted off my PowerMac 5500/225 which has lain unused for the last two and a half years and need one crucial piece of help.
I completely nuked the hard drive and installed MacOS 9.2.2 (pre the wipe, it had been functioning well on OS 8.1). The one thing I can't seem to fix is the 33.6 GeoPort modem. I know that post an OS install, you need to do a separate special installation for the GeoPort but have consistently failed to solve the glitch and always end up with a screwed up machine. What exactly do I need to do pre or post an OS install and which versions of what (9.2.2) compatible software do I need to download from Apple to fix the glitch?
