i have been using The Tilery for many years.
It works fine and dandy with sys 8.6 (& earlier) & with 9.1.
(Haven't tried it with 9.2)
The Tilery is shareware, and it hides the other applications.
It is similar to (but definitely different from) The Dock.

Thanks guys, but that's what I have been trying and the trouble is
it won't hide the other applications. GoMac does that. I'm looking
for another that will do the same and doesn't have the conflict
problems GoMac seems to have with 8.6
