I second Marc's vote for QuickHide. I use it all the time; a great little
hack. My only problem with it was that when I was option-clicking the dot to
move it to my preferred location in the menu bar, my system locked up every
time I moved it. I had to force a restart and then everything was okay.
Otherwise, I highly recommend its convenience.
