I'm on a power mac 6500/225, OS 8.6, 96 MB ram.  I had the same problem with
the game  "The Sims"....couldn't open and box said "not enough memory".  I
increased my Virtual Memory to 128 instead of the default 97...and it
worked.  Just my 2 cents for what it's worth.
