Troy,

OS 9.2 will not run on your computer natively. But this is no biggie:
there is absolutely no difference between 9.1 and 9.2 except when running OS
X Classic mode. I believe Xpostfacto, the extension set used to trick the
OS X installer into thinking you have a newer Mac, will also trick the 9.2
installer. But really, you'll be fine just sticking with 9.1.

Subject: OS 9.2 and 7600

Hello Everyone-

Question: I have a PPC 7600/120 with an XLR8 G3/333 upgrade and 256 MB of
RAM running OS 9.1. When I try to run the 9.2.1 the installer tells me it
cannot install on my machine and to consult the SimpleText doc in the
installer folder. ...Anyway I can "trick" the installer into allowing it to
install?
