Hi All:
Just subscribed here and wanted to say hi. I have two PowerMacs one
6500/250 and a Workgroup Server 9150/120. I also have several Compact Macs,
Mac II's and LC's. I have previously subscribed to the Compact Macs and
Vintage Macs list.
DSL just became available for me and I wanted to know if anyone is
familiar with MSN DSL? Based on my conversation with MSN support, I will be
getting an ARESCOM 800 ADSL modem. There is a CD which will be installing
drivers for the modem. Do these drivers add function to my Remote Access
software? Or will there be new communication software installed?
Also according to the the support person the "Minimum System
Requirements" are just for the software bungle that has all the MSN
software: Explorer, Outlook Express, MSN messenger, etc... Is he correct
that for just the DSL connection I do not need OS 8.6?
Any other input regarding MSN DSL would be appreciated.
Thanks,
David
