I don't know if this is helpful, but I had a similar experience with my
9150/120 after putting in a nubus ethernet card.  I would get the startup
chimes, then nothing.  I had used a different nubus ethernet card previously
with no problems.  When I switched back all was well again.
    So my guess is that one of the adapters you are using may not be liked
by the 7300.  Try pulling them one at a time to see what happens.
