This particular thread was one of the stranger ones. But regardless of what I think of the topic, I want to complain, on a general basis, not on this particular thread. Since we have all the new list nannies, every off-topic thread is shut down within a day. I had only five messages about this particular one. It wasn't exactly running rampant. It seems like this list, while still extremely valuable and helpful, does not have any life in it anymore. Another recent off-topic that was shut down was about Velocity RAM. I fail to see why information on products related to my Mac are off-topic. This wasn't even a "just for fun" thread, it really had computer value. As soon as someone says "this is off-topic", the list nannies jump in and end it. I really liked feeling like the people on this list were really people, but it hasn't felt that way in a long time. But then, I like things that are "just for fun", which is probably why I use a Mac and not a PC.
