Apple shipped the 7600 with FPM RAM , and the manual specifies FPM RAM

The 7600 will accept and operate OK with EDO RAM , but its system
architecture only recognizes EDO RAM as FPM RAM, so there is no advantage
in using EDO RAM

Buy FPM RAM, unless of course you can get the same stick in EDO at a
lower price.

I have both FPM and EDO RAM , mixed, in both of my 7600 boxes. No problem.
