Eegadz! My screen keeps going whacko when I open applications or
move the mouse! Trying to make changes in appearances panel causes
Type 2 error.

I *think* it's fixed now, since it hasn't done it since I did following things:

*soft reboot, reset pram (didn't solve)
*throw away all prefs with anything to do with desktop, video settings (nada)
*throw away whole prefs folder, reset pram (still goes crazy)
*cold reboot after a ten minute rest (seems to be ok now!)

Seems to be OK now. Any idea what happened, or how I can prevent it
from happening again? I'm relatively certain it's cause I only have
2 megs VRAM right now and had some pretty hefty appearance settings
(desktop picture, aqua-ish theme). Can I get a nod on this one way
or another for my own sanity?

Thanks for your input!
