Is the drive bad? > it could be a number of things, but first look at the dust issue. clean the floppy drive with a floppy drive cleaner, and vacuum (or blow out with compressed air, or whatever). make sure that the CPU card is all the way in. make sure that that the h/w is there, i.e. G3 upgrade card. the old version of "superdrive" (1.4 MB floppy drives) are notoriously prone to break-down, imo. also, consider that from OS 7.6.x to 8.x.x the way that floppy drives are used in the OS, some floppies formatted on a powermac will work better than the ones formatted on a m68k mac. i'm not sure of the exact details, but that has been an issue for me (with a quadra 800 and a pmac 7500 in active use, i've seen this). check that your floppy connector cable is secure in its plug and is intact, too. eric ----- Subject: App Menu NOT working properly > > This is new prob.
