I used 7200's for my business, etc. until we
upgraded to 7600's with G3 cards. I LOVED the
7200, but I couldn't get the Sonnet upgrade card
to work in it (which may have just been a RAM problem).
I feel that if you're going to upgrade to a G3
you're better off doing it on a 7300, 7500 or 7600
because you end up with a better machine--two
SCSI busses, audio ports, more RAM slots. I think
the 'road apple' criticism is because the processor
chip itself on the 7200 isn't removeable--it's soldered onto
the motherboard and to put a G3 chip in you have to
use the L2 slot.

(As the L2/G3 upgrade cards come down in price,
it might make more sense in the future to upgrade
the 7200, but as of now I wouldn't advise it.)

It's a really dependable, solid machine, OS 8.6 runs
great on it, 128 Mb sticks will work in it, also
the same PCI cards as other machines. It will do
anything you want it to just
not as fast as modern computers. It has 10bT ethernet
so it can be integrated into a network in two seconds.

I don't think you can get much money for them.
Go see what Powermax is selling these for and then
subtract some, that might give you your ebay price.
Good luck finding these babies goood homes. :-)
