Yes.  7200 = 73/5/600 RAM.  I swap RAM between my 7300 and 7200 frequently,
with no obvious problems.
However, as you have noted, 73/5/600 RAM != 7200 RAM.  You are correct in
saying that EDO memory is an absolute no-no.  If, of course, you value your
motherboard =)

Correct spec for 7200 RAM is, IIRC, 168pin 5v <70ns FPM DIMMs.  Much the
same for other 7x00 Macs, but they will happily use EDO RAM as well.
